9 to 5 the Musical

From April 16 through May 3, 9 to 5 the Musical will play at the Riverside Theatre. In this case, the stage show is based on the movie, released in 1980, which had a screenplay by Colin Higgins and Patricia Resnick and a cast that included Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dabney Coleman. Resnick modified the screenplay into the book for the musical, which features music and lyrics by Parton. It has been performed on Broadway, in London’s West End, and on several tours, and now Vero Beach audiences will have a chance to enjoy it, thanks to presenting sponsors Lisa and Ron Hunt. Showtimes vary, and tickets start at $50. For more information, see riversidetheatre.com or call the box office at 772-231-6990.
