Tune in to the Indian River Genealogical Society’s October virtual program with genealogist and educator Keira Murphy on October 11 at 11 a.m. Murphy will present on “Dotting the “I”: The Importance of Intentional Intergenerational Inquiry.” Pre-register for the October 11 meeting here.

In honor of Family History Month, the Indian River Genealogical Society will offer  complimentary access to monthly programs and socials for the remainder of the year, which offers locals the opportunity to understand their family histories.

Murphy is the founder of Jumpstart Genealogy, a resource that researches and preserves family histories with an emphasis on ways to engage the next generation of genealogists. She believes that learning genealogy research skills is integral to learning about history in general and can be adapted for all ages, as well as a variety of academic disciplines.
