
Indian River State College’s Hallstrom Planetarium will kick off its season with a free Open House on September 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the college’s Massey Campus in Fort Pierce (3209 Virginia Ave.).
Celebrating more than 30 years of helping locals explore the night sky and examine humanity’s place in the universe, the planetarium kicks off each season with an Open House to preview the year’s upcoming shows and special events. The free event will also feature a free Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) Talk.
The season continues with upcoming events such as Sky Event: Partial Solar Eclipse Watch on October 14; Stars to Starfish on October 20, November 3, and November 17 at 7 8:30 p.m., as well as October 21, November 4, November 18 at 1 and 2:30 p.m.; and more.
