Riverside Theatre Tickets are Now Available

At long last, theatre season approaches. Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach recently debuted season, bundle, and single tickets for 2022-2023 season shows for devotees to purchase ahead of opening day next month.

Riverside Theatre will debut its Fiftieth Anniversary Season on Stark Stage with a run of Leonard Gershe’s Butterflies Are Free October 25 to November 13. This moving play follows Don Baker, a young blind man, who moves into his own apartment against the wishes of his mother. Jill Tanner, the freethinking young woman next door, takes a liking to him and his meticulously kept apartment. As they begin a relationship, Mrs. Baker enters to “help” her son navigate his new life. Butterflies are Free is a funny and emotional play about the risks that go with loving someone.

Man of La Mancha hits the stage January 3-22. With music by Mitch Leigh, lyrics by Joe Darion, and adapted from the book by Dale Wasserman, this triumph of American theater is inspired by Don Quixote and is a powerful, funny, and heartbreaking musical celebrating the perseverance of one man who refuses to relinquish his ideals, and who is determined to see life “not as it is, but as it ought to be.”

A Comedy of Tenors, takes the stage in February, followed by Riverside Theatre’s most successful show ever, 42^nd Street. The season ends with the country music classic, Honky Tonk Angels. The Waxlax Stage season includes the comedy Bakersfield Mist and Oleanna, a drama by award-winning playwright, David Mamet. Learn more about Riverside Theatre’s full lineup here.
