“An Artistic Potpourri”

Through January 11, 2025

This month’s phase of J.M. Stringer Gallery’s exhibition of new works from gallery artists and rare antique paintings features Realist Claudia Seymour and Impressionist E.J. Paprocki. Seymour, who works only from life, says that her goal as a painter is “to portray the limitless beauty of color in every object, as well as in the interaction between objects, their shadows, and the surrounding space.” Paprocki draws on many subjects and locations, with some of his recent works depicting pub scenes, cityscapes, and marine settings.

“Abstract Expressionist”

Through January 10, 2025

Findlay Galleries presents an exhibition of works by American Abstract Expressionist Judith Dolnick. The New York–based artist has been creating vivid, colorful abstract paintings since the 1950s. She is married to painter Robert Natkin. Her dynamic brushstrokes give her works energy and depth, calling to mind masters such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Kandinsky. At age 90, Dolnick continues to paint almost daily in her Connecticut and New York studios.

“Magical Metaphors’/‘Counterpoint”

Through January 31, 2025

It’s double the artistic pleasure at Gallery 14, with two exhibitions running for two months! “Magical Metaphors: Paintings by Ellen Kaiden” and “Counterpoint: Study in Contrast–Photographs by Allan Teger” are joining the works of the gallery’s artist-owners. Kaiden describes her watercolors as “life affirming and joyful” and refers to her style as “idealized Realism.” Teger is a Vero Beach resident whose new works juxtapose “the natural and the man-made, the soft with the hard, the new with the old.”
