“Pop Rocks”

March 4–28

The wildly popular husband-and-wife team of Melissa Mastrangelo and Horacio Lertora return with their distinctive brand of pop art consisting of colorful, fun, nostalgic images rendered on multiple wood squares. A reception will take place March 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll.

“His Majesty’s Gardens”

March 4–April 15

Findlay Galleries is pleased to present an exhibition of commissioned works by distinguished contemporary British Impressionist Charles Neal. Titled “Highgrove House, His Majesty’s Gardens,” the collection encapsulates the enchanting gardens and serene setting of King Charles III’s country residence in Gloucestershire, England. The exhibition will open with an elegant fundraising dinner in support of The King’s Foundation, to be held March 4 at Findlay Galleries’ terrace.

“Focused on the Light”

March 13–April 30

J.M. Stringer Gallery presents “Focused on the Light: The Recent Paintings of Andre Lucero and Richard Oversmith.” Lucero, a former freelance illustrator, is a prolific plein air oil painter who finds his work pleasurable and seeks to convey that joy to the viewer. Fellow plein air oil painter Oversmith strives to use the minimum number of brushstrokes to convey the mood of a painting and evoke the interaction of the viewer.

The Gallery at Windsor continues an exhibition of recent works by Sir Christopher Le Brun and Charlotte Verity, a married couple with very different artistic styles. “Left Hand, Right Hand” features some of the artists’ largest-scale works to date.

“French Moderns”

VBMA presents “French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850–1950,” with 60 works from the Brooklyn Museum’s collection of European art.

“Timeless”

Through August 31

VBMA’s Stark Gallery features “Timeless: Robert Farber’s Fashion Photography,” a collection of works from Farber’s Vintage Fashion series and Deterioration series.

“Well-Dressed”

Through September 14

Artworks from VBMA’s permanent collection fill the Schumann and Titelman Galleries in a themed exhibition that “explores the intersection of fashion, identity, performance, and self-expression.”
