February 23: Grand Harbor Community Outreach Program’s annual Bridge Luncheon was held at Oak Harbor Club.

February 23: The Indian River Community Foundation created the Alma Lee Loy Legacy Society in honor of Alma Lee Loy for her continued work in the community.

February 21: The Moorings Club held its annual Habitat for Humanity Golf Classic & Hab-A-Cocktail Party and Hab-A-Tennis Tournament.

February 20: A crowd gathered at the Vero Beach High School gym to watch the internationally renowned Harlem Ambassadors take the court against the Indian River County “All-Stars” to benefit the Florida Comets AAU Basketball.

February 19: USO Rocks America – Landsharks and Landmarks was held at the Paris Air Hangar at the Vero Beach Airport and included entertainment by the Landsharks, a silent auction and dinner.

February 19-20: The Environmental Learning Center’s weekend fundraiser Paddlewheelin’ on the Lagoon began with a cocktail cruise and dinner aboard a 98-foot, three-deck paddlewheel boat, Indian River Queen.

February 18: The Indian River Tennis Foundation held its season opening party at Grand Harbor Beach Club. The evening included cocktails, a raffle and silent auction and a buffet dinner.

FEBRUARY 12: The Vero Beach Museum of Art hosted its 25th anniversary Community Celebration which featured special exhibitions, studio activities, tours and demonstrations.

February 12: McKee Botanical Garden hosted its 2nd annual Motor Car Exhibition: Modern Exotics and Sports Cars.

February 12: Teams and individuals gathered at Riverside Park for the annual Juvenile Diabetes Awareness Corporation Walk For the One You Love 5K walk.

February 12: 103 runners came out for the 5th annual 5K Race/Walk for Love of Literacy at Pointe West.

February 10: Healthy Start Coalition provided a preview of its main event, Dancing with Vero’s Stars, at The Glimpse dance party at the Heritage Center.

February 9: Saint Edward’s School administrators and benefit co-chairmen Margaret Anne Evans and Karan Morein hosted a Sponsor Cocktail Reception at the home of Margaret Anne and Emmett Evans to thank and acknowledge those individuals for their support of 2011: The Magic Of One.

February 8: The Riverside Theatre’s Supper Club featured the “Queen of Cabaret” Andrea Marcovicci in the theatre’s Skyline Room.

February 7: Bridge players enjoyed a morning of duplicate and party bridge at McKee Botanical Garden, followed by a lunch catered by Elizabeth D. Kennedy & Co.

February 5: Saint Edward’s School students hit the runway at the 6th annual Unravel the Ribbon Fashion Show – Give A Bit in the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts.

February 5: The American Red Cross North Treasure Coast Chapter held An Affair to Remember — In the Mood at the Copacabana at the Vero Beach Country Club.

February 5-6: Garden enthusiasts strolled through Riverside Park, shopping at over 75 vendors and speaking to the gardening experts at the 10th annual Gardenfest!.

February 4-6: The Laughing Dog Gallery hosted a Somers Jewelry trunk show benefiting the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County’s spay and neuter program and animal medical fund.

February 2: World-class opera singers soprano Deborah Voigt and tenor Marcello Giordani performed together for a full house at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center at the Vero Beach Opera Foundation concert.
