Findlay Galleries is pleased to present a luminous new collection by Danish contemporary painter Henrik Simonsen, whose richly layered compositions explore color, rhythm, and organic form. His inspiration has long come from nature, which he often depicts in bold hues that reflect his interpretation.

“Spring Awakening”

Through May 30

At the center of this month’s exhibition is Joy Jackson, who is a member of the American Impressionist Society and the New Jersey Watercolor Society. Her formal training took place at Barry University, Pratt Institute, and the Brooklyn Museum Art School. In her work, she seeks to capture vignettes that will elicit a personal response from each viewer.

“American Made”

Through June 7

VBMA’s “American Made: Painting and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection” continues, featuring 85 works by renowned American artists spanning our nation’s entire 250-year history, with an emphasis on the 19th and 20th centuries.

“Construction”

Through June 21

VBMA’s chief curator, Caitlin Swindell, has combined select loans with works from the museum’s permanent collection to present “Construction: from Abstraction to Architecture.”

“Museum in the Garden”

Through February 7, 2027

VBMA has launched a long-term show tracing the evolution of its innovative expansion design. “Museum in the Garden: Envisioning the New VBMA” includes sketches, renderings, and architectural models.
