Who can resist relaxing in a living room where style and comfort go hand-in-hand? Lisa designed a coffered bead-board ceiling just under 12 ft. in order to accommodate transom windows. The plush carpet provides a perfect canvas for splashes of Judy’s favorite shades of blue, with coral pops of color adding interest and fun.
Bill and Judy Munn never pictured themselves living in Florida for any length of time – a few weeks during the winter maybe, but putting down more permanent roots? Not part of their long-range plan. Then they discovered Vero Beach. “We were trying to get comfortable with Florida and had been looking at Old Naples where there are more seasoned neighborhoods,” says Bill.
“We weren’t really thinking of buying, but when we came to Vero Beach we visited friends who live here and we just fell in love with the area,” Judy adds. “It’s similar to Easton, Maryland, where we live the rest of the year in that it’s a small coastal town with a vibrant arts and cultural center.”
That was all it took for Bill to contact a realtor. It didn’t take the couple long to find what they were looking for; the house was the second one they looked at. When they saw the oversized lot abundant with impressive oaks, they knew they had found the perfect property. The house itself, however, was another matter.
