Some dreams really do come true. Our magnificent, expanded Center for the Arts is the product of a dream that kindled a virtual bonfire of talent and contributions. Hardly a soul in Vero Beach has not been touched in some way by the Center for the Arts.
I first met the lady with the dream in 1978, when I was public relations director at the Moorings. It was part of my job to visit each new resident, armed with a bottle of Gonzalez Byass sherry as a gift from Moorings President Jorge Gonzalez. For centuries, the Gonzalez family has produced the great Spanish wine.
