Celebrating Silver At The Museum Of Art

Seven years ago when Lucinda (Cindy) Gedeon was interviewed for the position of Executive Director/CEO the search committee told her they were looking for someone who could take the museum to “the next level.”

A silver anniversary is cause for celebration and that’s just what has been happening at the Vero Beach Museum of Art since the beginning of the year. A gala evening featuring Broadway stars Mandy Patinkin and Patti Lupone followed by the opening of “American Masterworks: 150 Years of Painting from the Butler Institute” and “Impressions: Selections from the Manoogian Collection” kicked off a number of special events and programs designed to recognize the cultural contributions the museum has made since its doors opened on Feb. 1, 1986.

The VBMA’s rich history gives testimony to individuals, past and present, whose passion for the arts and humanities has led to a nationally recognized museum where more than 75,000 people come annually to learn, create and enjoy.
