It began more than 30 years ago, on March 22nd, 1968, as the run rose over Daytona Beach. There, on the famous sands, two young Spring Breakers met for the first time. "It was around six in the morning, and we were watching the sun rise," they recall. "We went for breakfast and agreed to meet later for a swim."
His name was Tom Leonard; hers was Linda Nevers, and it soon became apparent that this was more than a casual Spring BReak romance. When they returned to their universities – he to Rutgers, she to Michigan State – they kept in touch and fell in love. THey married in 1970, shortly after they were graduated.
