“King of the Blue”
The Indian River Photo Club prides itself on being the oldest photography club in Indian River County. One could also make a case that it is also the most efficient. Monthly meetings, open to members and nonmembers alike, each include photo competitions. At the beginning of the evening, members submit photos to be viewed and judged during the meeting. After the program concludes, awards are presented to that month’s winners.
Every December, a similar contest occurs on a much larger scale. The intake of photos begins on a Wednesday early in December. By the middle of the month, three judges have selected first, second and third place as well as honorable mention in each of seven categories, and soon, the photos are ready for display. 2019’s show was on exhibit in the Studio Gallery at the Vero Beach Museum of Art from Dec. 14 through Jan. 5. Vero Beach Magazine is pleased to provide you with another opportunity to view these award-winning images.
