Vero Beach native Kathryn Block Faires is, quite literally, a chip off the old Block – her father Samuel Block, that is. She, like he, is a practicing attorney as well as a volunteer with the venerable Dollars for Scholars of Indian River County. Education was likewise a leading cause of her grandparents Marion and Arthur Block, whose legacy of giving continues through the University of Florida Foundation and the Treasure Coast Gator Club and Dollars for Scholars.
