The glittering chandelier and companion sconces in the dining room are an ideal complement to the owners’ eclectic art collection. China and glassware have found a perfect home inside the custom modified antiqued mirror hutch rubbed with rich smoky tones of gray.

With sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean one would think that’s why the couple from Florida’s west coast make it a point to spend as much time as possible in their new home. Yet it isn’t the lure of sea, sand and surf that draws them to Vero Beach, it’s two tiny toddlers. On any given day their grandchildren’s giggles can be heard throughout the sparkling new two-story residence designed to showcase select pieces from their art collection. It’s only upon close inspection that one notices there are no sharp edges, glass-topped tables or breakable objects in evidence and realizes the thought taken to keep the small set safe.
