Stephen Bischoff’s sons, Nick and Dale, took two different paths into the roofing business, but both have found their home, and Stephen couldn’t be happier.

Taking the risk to launch a new business and building it with hard work and a focus on quality into a success highlights our nation’s entrepreneurial experience.

The gratification of this endeavor is probably exceeded only when a business owner passes the company on to his children and watches them propel it even further.

Stephen Bischoff, founder and president of Vero Beach Roofing, is seeing this happen now. “I feel like I’m living the American dream,” he says. “I am lucky and grateful that I have not one but two sons who came home to help me and who are now running the business, and I know they will take it to an even greater level.”

The idea of Dale Bischoff and his younger brother, Nick, leading Vero Beach Roofing into the future was not an aspiration any of them imagined when Stephen established the company in 1997. In fact, Stephen thought he was out of the roofing business altogether. He and his wife, Ana, moved their family to Vero Beach in 1996 from Miami, where both had grown up, after he closed the roofing business he had started two decades before.
