They say that good things come to those who wait. Nancy Lesher will tell you it’s true. After years of renting vacation homes in both Barbados and Vero Beach in an effort to escape the cold Connecticut winters, Nancy decided it was about time she had her own pied a terre in the sun. She liked the idea of being able to come and go as she pleased, returning for a week, month, or for however long she wanted, when she wanted, to familiar surroundings and people she knew. Vero Beach won out.

“I wanted a place where I could relax, play golf, walk the beach, a place that was ‘dog-friendly’ so Reggie, my shih tzu, could be with me,” Nancy explains. The search was on and it led her to Windsor.

It only took one look for her to know that the row house the Realtor showed her was exactly what she’d been hoping to find.

“My daughter, Lisa, was with me and we walked in the door, looked at each other and screamed, ‘Oh, this is it,’” Nancy laughs, spreading her arms wide. “Isn’t this wonderful? I couldn’t believe I’d found it.”
