Leila Shear may have felt like a princess when she wed Norman Burtch last April. Leila is a 28-year cancer survivor. Also in attendance was her steed, ODAAT (One Day At A Time), named in tribute to ALANON which Leila feels saved her life.

As true philanthropists, leila and Norman donated their monetary wedding gifts to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. (See People & Parties.) The couple then held a wedding reception in Framingham, Massachusetts, and also donated those gifts to the American Cancer Society.
