Since 1978, Susan Schuyler Smith has been the creative force behind Spectrum Interior Design, where her passion and talent have defined more than four decades of design excellence. One of the first interior designers to be licensed in Florida, Smith’s ability to combine timeless elegance with functional sophistication has earned her loyal clients, prestigious awards, and recognition throughout the industry. Her leadership has been marked by distinction, including service as both vice chairman and chairman of the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design, a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Florida, and a Presidential Citation for Distinguished Service from the American Society of Interior Designers.
Smith credits much of her firm’s success to her talented Spectrum team of five dedicated professionals, whose creativity, collaboration, and attention to detail help bring every project to life—from oceanfront residences to hospitality spaces across the country.
A committed community advocate, Smith also devotes her time and expertise to local causes, including McKee Botanical Garden and the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, where she has served as president.
