Community Foundation Awards $200,000 In Local Grant

April 12:  Indian River Community Foundation awarded five program grants and three micro-grants totalling $200,000, to nonprofit organizations supporting local residents most affected by the recent economic recession. Micro-grant recipients of $5,000 each are the Education Foundation of Indian River County, Hunters Against Hunger and Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council. Larger program grants went to Children’s Home Society, Harvest Food and Outreach Center, Indian River Habitat for Humanity, the Learning Alliance and the Salvation Army.
