November 12: Indian River Impact 100, a group of over 200 philanthropic women, held its Membership Kick-off Breakfast at the Community Church.
The event featured Wendy Steele, founder and first president of Impact 100 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Under Steele’s leadership more than $1.6 million was raised in her community, and her work has been featured in Fortune, Small Business Magazine, People Magazine, Women’s Enterprise and the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
Impact 100 members donate $1,000 per year and are entitled to cast a vote for their favorite non-profit organization to receive a $100,000 grant.
