November 4: Over 60 local restaurants supplied soup to 15 places of worship and 25 businesses offered their own soup to the community at the 18th annual Samaritan Center Soup Bowl. The message this year was “breaking bread together for the homeless.”

Volunteer potters created 1,100 wheel-thrown bowls at the Vero Beach Museum of Art that were available for purchase at several soup locations. The event helped raise funds and awareness for homeless families in Indian River County.
