When David purchased the property a plan was already in place. He made significant design changes that showcased his attention to detail, including the arched entrance, the warmth of brick on the facade, and multiple corbels. Last year, the home received the Treasure Coast Builders’ Association 2008 Parade of Homes Grand Award.
If you’re wondering why Rebecca Rustine is glowing these days, the answer is simple. After moving from one house to another more times than she cares to count, she has seen the last packing box for what she hopes is a long, long time. When asked which room in the two-story oceanfront home her husband David designed and built is her favorite, the answer doesn’t come easy.
“I guess for me you could say it’s a toss-up between the master suite and where we are right now,” she says, as she looks around the family room where the couple cherish their precious moments of “downtime.”
As founder, president and CEO of the multi-faceted Crown Companies, David is busy from dawn to dusk developing, designing, constructing, marketing, and investing in properties, while Rebecca – make that Dr. Rebecca – is a psychologist who recently reopened her practice in Vero Beach and is actively involved in a number of local non-profit organizations.
