As well as being highly flammable, the Australian pine–which is not really a pine at all–breaks under wind pressure and caused major damage during the hurricanes of 2004.

 While the FBI has its list of America’s most wanted criminals, the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council (FEPPC) has its own list of invasive plants: Florida’s least wanted. Actually, there are two lists of invasive species: Category I contains 73 of the most invasive, and Category II contains 67 regionally invasive plants that should be watched for further spreading. As the FBI would say, “Be on the lookout!”
