Artist David Rogers has been busy as a bee at McKee this fall working on his Big Bug exhibit, which will invade McKee Botanical Garden from January through March. These bugs have visited the Chicago Botanic Garden, the New York Botanic Garden, Longwood Gardens, Red Butte Garden, Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, Denver Botanic Gardens and the U.S. National Arboretum. Some of these natural sculptures, made of green willow saplings, dry branches, whole trees and other products found in the forest, measure 25 feet in length.
Just think how many Big Bugs could have been created from the debris of Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne! `
