Running With Kevin Grady

“To me the exciting thing about running is that you can do it anywhere,” says Kevin Grady, president of PNC Wealth Management. “Just pack a pair of running shoes and go.”

Most people in Vero Beach know that if you need professional financial advice, Kevin Grady is a great person to go to. However, most people probably aren’t aware that the president of PNC Wealth Management also knows a thing or two about running.

It wasn’t always that way. As an athlete in high school, Kevin hated running since most coaches used it as a form of punishment; if you didn’t do your wrestling drills properly, you had to run extra laps after practice. So it wasn’t until college that Kevin finally hit his running stride. Now, with more than 28 years of experience, he has become an avid runner, completing six marathons. He’s even passed the baton down to his two sons, both cross country athletes.

“In my mind, running is just something you want to do for the rest of your life, not just to run a race,” explains Kevin with a passion in his eyes that says he’d much rather be outside pounding the pavement than sitting behind his desk, even with its ocean view.
