The Family Tree That Just Keeps Growing

The Schlitts are a family most of us have heard or read about, know personally, or have done business with. Just look in the telephone directory and you’ll see their names listed under realtors, property managers, insurers, brokers, investors, developers, builders, architects, painters, electricians and interior designers. They list, sell, manage, design, decorate, arrange, advise, create, consult and construct; they repair the damaged and make the old new again. The Schlitts are your neighbors, your children’s classmates; they sit next to you at church and coach your son or daughter’s soccer team. Actively involved in service organizations, they reach out to support worthy causes by contributing their time and money.

Like a handful of other families who settled in Indian River County during the early 1900s they cleared the land, built homes, churches and parks, established businesses and worked hard, yet they made the time to help others whenever and wherever they saw a need.
