But should you find yourself stymied by the question, Palm Cottage on the Indian River in Orchid Island affords a tangible response. Palm Cottage bears no resemblance whatsoever to the primitive. This is no thatched-hut hideaway, but rather, spectacular, British Colonial-style residence designed by Vero Beach architect Jim Gibson, and built by RCL Development, Inc., for designer Luis Lapitz.

Luis specifically commissioned Palm Cottage to be a preeminent locale for casual afternoons lounging by the riverside pool, intimate sunset dining on one of several terraces and cocktail parties under the palms in the courtyard. All of which takes place in surroundings where Luis’ insistence on luxurious comfort assures one that it doesn’t get any better than this.
