Dr. Edgar T. Sosa, D.O. F.A.C.S.

Dr. Edgar T. Sosa is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

Dr. Sosa earned his undergraduate degrees in microbiology and psychology from the University of Central Florida. He then pursued his medical education at the University of New England in Southern Maine. Following medical school, he completed an internship and general surgery residency at Berkshire Medical Center in Western Massachusetts.

Dr. Sosa completed his plastic surgery training at the esteemed Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in the greater Boston area, learning his craft from some of the finest plastic surgeons in practice. His training also included experience at Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Emerson Hospital, and Maine Medical Center, providing him with extensive expertise in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Sosa is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality care, helping patients achieve their aesthetic and reconstructive goals with precision and artistry. He is also a dedicated father and husband to Jamie. The Ocean Drive team, including the practice’s founding surgeon Dr. Alan Durkin, is honored to work with Dr. Sosa.

Throughout his surgical training, Dr. Sosa participated in multiple medical missions, including those in the Amazon, Dominican Republic, South Sudan, Kenya, Morocco, and the Indian Himalayas. He specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive body contouring, breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, massive weight loss body contouring, and medical weight loss.
